Rock Solid Warrior Published Nov. 1, 2007 386th Expeditionary Security Squadron SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Senior Airman Jordan Reola Force protection Third Country National escort Home unit/base: 49th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Holloman Air Force Base How do you support the mission? I support the mission by maintaining positive control of TCN's while ensuring Defense Department, Air Force and contactor assets are safe. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my second deployment. This deployment has given me the unique opportunity to experience first hand the cultural differences of the foreign nationals assigned here. How does your job differ in a deployed environment versus home base? At home station I am part of the 49 LRS, while deployed I am a "guardian inside the wire," here to support and defend the base. I also get to learn other aspects of the Air Force that I would never get to do at home station. The force protection unit represents 72 Air Force career fields and it has been interesting to learn what other Airmen do.
