Staff Sgt.
Scott Little

386th Expeditionary Communication Squadron

NCO in charge of small computers maintenance

Home unit/base: 107th Communications Squadron, Niagara Falls, NY.

How do you support the mission here? I provide leadership, training and guidance
to the small computer maintenance shop. I also repair personal computers in a large network environment to insure rapid turn around time which minimizes down time and enhances productivity to the entire wing. I also act as the base equipment control officer which provides direction and guidance to primary and alternate equipment custodians to accomplish full accountability for all information technology assets.

How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my first deployment. What I find rewarding is the way highly trained individuals have deployed from different locations and have spun up as a team to achieve mission goals in a short time frame.

How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? The biggest difference is the operations tempo and the amenities we are afforded at home base.
