386 AEW observes Remembrance Day Published Nov. 13, 2013 386th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Members of the 386th Expeditionary Wing participated in a Remembrance Day service, Nov. 11, 2013 at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day originated following the end of the First World War. The Armistice agreement was signed between Germany and the Allied Forces in Paris on Monday, Nov. 11, 1918 at 0500. The cease fire went into effect at 1100 hours the same morning.
