What is your mission here? To feed joint/coalition forces and partners and to ensure safe food and dining conditions.

What are some of the best parts of your mission? By far the best part is meeting people, and working with my DFAC team.

What are some of the challenges you face while conducting your mission, and how do you overcome them? I've had to educate customers not fully understanding DFAC policies; I respectfully explain and handle the situation.

How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? The heat!!!! Very different from what I am used to. I have always lived in the colder regions of the United States.

How many times have you deployed? This is my first deployment, and I am very appreciative to be sent here.

What makes this deployment unique? Working with the third country nationals is very different. I am not used to being around all these different languages and cultures. Experiencing Ramadan is very unique, but I am grateful for the cultural experience.

Why did you join the Air Force? I joined to serve my country and because my uncle persuaded me to experience the travel and vast opportunities and benefits the military offers. I thought more about it and it seemed like the best option for me on making something of myself. The military is great at shaping and developing one to succeed in life.
