Southwest Asia -- I'm Tech. Sgt. Holly Flores, a 386th Expeditionary Communications Squadron cyber surety section chief. I am deployed from the 129th Communications Squadron at Moffett Field, Calif.
As a cyber surety section chief, my job is to administer and manage the overall 386th Air Expeditionary Wing information assurance programs with an emphasis on communications security. There's a great feeling of accomplishment knowing that my efforts are directly impacting and assisting the mission. I joined the Air Force to serve my country, learn valuable career skills and to meet new people.
The main difference being in a deployed environment versus being at home station is here my job is more fast paced. I always need to stay on my toes and I'm constantly learning new aspects of my job. This deployment is unique for me because I get to be deployed with my husband.
My professional goals include constantly trying to become more of an expert in my career field. I also want to develop and mentor the Airmen around me and motivate them to successfully accomplish the mission. Some of my personal goals are to spend more time with family and friends, take time to travel to new places, and experience new cultures.
