SOUTHWEST ASIA -- I’m Senior Airman Alexandria Bio, a 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron command support staff technician. I am deployed from the 143rd Airlift Wing out of Quonset Air National Guard Base, Rhode Island. I joined the Air Force because it was a childhood dream of mine to join and to become a part of something bigger than myself.
As a member of the command support staff, my job is to assist personnel of the 737 EAS in their day to day functions. This includes computer access, records management, flight line access, and handling mail for the entire squadron. I also maintain the Joint Personnel Adjudication System and Management Internal Control Toolset, as well as directing the C-130J Super Hercules base flag flying program.
The biggest challenge I face in my mission is prioritizing which tasks need completed first to continue one hundred percent mission success. The best part of my mission is being directly involved and supporting the mission every day.
My professional goals are to take the Air Force Officer Qualification Test in September and to become a commissioned officer. My personal goal is graduating next summer with a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Rhode Island. My hobbies include being an avid Boston sports fan, going to the gym and going to the beach.
