Defender balances cultures, career
Two cultures. Two military branches. Two degrees. These are just some of the attributes and achievements of Tech. Sgt. Madia Daniel, a first generation Liberian American who applied the lessons from her immigrant family to succeed while having joy. Daniel, a 386th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron team leader, is currently working on her PhD in Family & Consumer Science while on her deployment in Kuwait. These pursuits are inspired by her parents’ influence, according to Daniel.

Coalition forces strengthen close air support capabilities
A joint coalition force recently trained together at Udairi Range, Kuwait, Oct. 20, 2021. U.S. Air Force tactical air control party (TACP) Airmen deployed to the 82nd Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron, along with the U.S. Army 1st Battalion 194th Armor Regiment joint fires observers (JFOs) in-training, and the Italian air force (Aeronautica Militare) Task Group Typhoon practiced close air support, fostering enduring partnerships and advancing its decisive combat dominance.

24-hour operations for the U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules maintainers
The Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron works 24-hour operations year-round to keep the C-130 aircraft in flight to support the execution of the wing's mission of national, regional and global importance and stabilize the U.S. Central Command's areas of responsibility. The wing is USCENTCOM's theater gateway in delivering dominant combat airpower and unparalleled theater support.

386th Expeditionary Logistic Readiness Squadron vehicle maintainers keep the fleet rolling
The 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management Flight is responsible for the service and maintenance of all vehicles of the 386th Expeditionary Air Wing here. The vehicle management flight provides maintenance support to a 936-vehicle fleet, valued at approximately $123 million. Of the 936 vehicles 336 of them are leased from a local company in the host nation.
