Combined Training Advisory Group - Army Commander Visits Thunder Lab

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN -- Brigadier David Paterson, Commander of the Combined Training Advisory Group-Army of the NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan, visited the Afghan Air Force Thunder Lab August 28, 2010.
CTAG-A advises and trains the Afghan National Army. The Thunder Lab tour included the living quarters, the flight simulators and the classrooms. The visit to the successful training program was for possibly including this model into future training of the Afghan National Army.
The Thunder Lab, created in May 2010, is an English immersion lab designed to improve aviation knowledge, language skills and professionalism of young Afghan officers before attending training outside Afghanistan by living along side American mentors.
