BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- The six members assigned to the 74th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron aircrew flight equipment section here work 24 hours a day maintaining, repairing and ensuring that gear for 40 pilots fits properly for their upcoming missions. The aircrew flight equipment members have to know many pieces of equipment, including the new Scorpion helmet-mounted cueing system. The Scorpion allows pilots to view targeting data in real time through an eyepiece attached to the helmet itself. If equipment does not fit properly the display will be out of alignment and its effectiveness degraded. All the members assigned to the 74 EFS are deployed from Moody Air Force Base, Ga.
