BAGRAM AIRFIELD, AFGHANISTAN -- Staff Sgt. Charles Stamper, member of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Religious Support Team at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital, received the Warrior of the Week award from Chief Master Sgt. Marcus Snoddy, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Command Chief Master Sgt., at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, June 27, 2012.

Stamper supports the Chaplain staff during night shift, providing spiritual care to hospital personnel and hundreds of incoming and outgoing patients monthly. He provided comfort to hospital staff through 100 traumas in his first month as a staff member. According to Chaplain leadership, Stamper has made a special effort to bring a smile to the face of the more than 150 patients he has visited - even through their most trying times.

Stamper also established the "Chapel Mart." The program provides hygiene and personal items for visitors to the CJTH.
