BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- An F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 555th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron takes off as two F-15E Strike Eagles from the 389 EFS taxi out to the runway here Sep. 20 2011. The F-16 is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack. The F-15 is a dual-role fighter designed to perform air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. It can penetrate enemy defense and outperform and outfight any current enemy aircraft.
