Unmanned aircraft crashes in Paktika province Published Aug. 28, 2008 By Combined Joint Task Force - 101 Combined Press Information Center BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan -- A Coalition forces' unmanned aerial vehicle crashed earlier today in the Yosof Khail District of Paktika province, today. The aerial vehicle used for reconnaissance suffered a mechanical malfunction causing its parachute to deploy and crash. The aircraft was recovered and taken to a nearby forward operating base. This incident is under investigation.
