A technical sergeant assigned to the 755th Air Expeditionary Group was tried at a special court-martial here April 14.

Tech. Sgt. Trent A. Aistrope faced one charge and specification of Article 121 of the UCMJ for larceny after stealing $1,500 from a wallet he found.

The member pled guilty and elected to have a military judge decide his case instead of a panel of jurors.

He was sentenced to reduction to the grade of E-5, two months confinement, $500 forfeitures for four months, and a $1,500 fine.

This was the first Air Force court-martial convened in Afghanistan.
