Want to give your boss a pie in the face? That's exactly what Airmen in Camp Cunningham had to opportunity to do here August 27.

Camp Cunningham's Airmen Committed to Excellence (ACE) council held a fundraiser over the past several days that gave Airmen here the opportunity to nominate a person of their choice to get a pie in the face.

Votes were 25 cents per vote or five votes for one dollar. After a week of tallying votes, of which there were many, only six were chosen for the pie honors, one of which was the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing vice commander, Col. Bruce McClintock. During the festivities, an auction was held to determine who would get to put a pie in each "winner's" face.

"Altogether, we raised 1,054 dollars," said Senior Airman Steven Collins, 455th Expeditionary Mission Support Group administration and ACE vice president, who was also one of the six recipients of a pie. "We were raising funds for morale events for the Airmen in Camp Cunningham."

The bidding began at five dollars. Master Sgt. Theresa Sheheen, 455th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Flight, took the top bid at 100 dollars. After the bidding was settled, the winner was given a pie to put in the other's face. Most pie recipients decided to "share" their enthusiasm with their bidder.

When all was said and done, faces were messy, fun was had, and, more importantly, over 1,000 dollars was raised to fund morale event for the Airmen.
