Kenneth Lindsey, Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, presents the "Warrior of the Week" award to Tech. Sgt. Christopher Jachimiec, 455th Expeditionary Communications Squadron NCO in charge of radio frequency transmission systems, on Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 13, 2013. Jachimiec, a native of Muskego, Wis., deployed from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., leads a five-member team responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of a command and control system integral to base defense and sortie generation and oversees programming and upkeep of Bagram's tactical radio fleet. In addition, he rapidly adjusted to mission requirements during his first two weeks in the combat zone as he guided his team to troubleshoot a generator malfunction causing widespread outages to a command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system critical to base defense.
