Karaoke singing held on Bagram Published Oct. 27, 2013 By Tech. Sgt. Rob Hazelett 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- More than 30 people attended the weekly Karaoke singing event Oct. 25, 2013, at the Vulture's Nest recreation center on Camp Cunningham. While selecting the right song to sing during Karaoke is never easy, it can still be fun for servicemembers, contractors and civilians who attend during Friday evenings. "We have some great voices that will be leaving soon, so we will need some fresh singers ready to move the crowd with their talent," said Mr. Mike Thanscheidt, the Vulture's Nest Karaoke maestro. The popular singing pastime, which allows people to sing the lyrics to songs as recorded music plays in the background, has been an ongoing event at the Vulture's Nest for several years. Thanscheidt, from Memphis, Tenn., said the enjoyable activity has all types of music to choose from.
