Kenneth Lindsey, Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, presents the "Warrior of the Week" award to Staff Sgt. DéJayé Herrera, 455th Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron nutritional medicine flight chief, on Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Sept. 6. Herrera, a native of Sacramento, Calif., deployed from Nellis AFB, Nev., supervises two diet technicians at the largest role III hospital in Afghanistan. Her mission and duties include supplying a monthly average of 8,500 meals to patients, guardians and staff. She manages and maintains nutritional medicine stock and procures and provides dietary supplements and support, combat rations and Class 1 items for the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Flight, the mild traumatic brain injury clinic, the outpatient clinic, humanitarian mission and all Craig Joint Theater Hospital inpatients.
