'Warrior of the Week' Staff Sgt. Brian Welling

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan --  Chief Master Sgt. Steve Bohannon, Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, presents the "Warrior of the Week" award to Staff Sergeant Brian Welling, 455th Expeditionary Welling who is stationed at Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston, Texas, did an outstanding job during a 12-patient surge at Craig Joint Theater Hospital resulting from a complex attack in Kabul Afghanistan. As the emergency room shift leader, Welling rapidly and accurately ordered all medical studies, to include X-rays/computed tomography, and labs on the 12 trauma patients. He directed the flow of both 20 staff members and the 12 trauma patients while simultaneously initiating the recall of more than 90 medical personnel from 10 specialty clinics.
