Wing senior leaders visit aircrew flight equipment

Col. Jennifer Fullmer packs a BA-22 pilot chute during her visit to the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron’s Aircrew Flight Equipment at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia, July 5, 2013. The pilot chute is what starts the chain of deployment for the BA-22 parachute. Once the ripcord is pulled, the spring loaded pilot chute starts to pull the rest of the canopy out of the pack. The 379th OSS AFE is the sole parachute back shop in the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility, supporting 11 other bases and is the primary inspector for equipment down range. Fullmer is the 379th AEW vice commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Joselito Aribuabo)
