Patriot batteries host key leaders
Lt. Gens. David L. Goldfein and John W. Hesterman visit the 1-43 Air Defense Artillery Battalion's active Patriot site May 22, 2013, at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia. While on site, the 69th ADA Brigade commander, Col. Randall A. McIntire, and 1-43 ADA BN commander, Lt. Col. David E. Shank, gave the generals a personal tour of the site while the battery conducted a training exercise simulating the Patriot site preparing to move from one site to emplace on another. This exercise and others like it ensure soldiers are trained and ready to deal with any real-world threats that may arise. (U.S. Army photo/Capt. Steven Modugno)
