Last A-10 "Bulldogs" leave Bagram
A-10 Thunderbolt II fighter aircraft deployed from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., taxis to the runway on Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, April 14, 2013, to begin the 7,800 mile flight back home. The A-10 is known for its close-air support of ground forces and employs a variety of munitions, but is most known for its distinctive sound when it fires its GAU-8, 30mm Gatling gun.
