Bagram Hospital commander receives Polish medal
Beata Oczkowicz, the Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense, presents the Polish Army Medal (Silver) to U.S. Air Force Col. Jimmie D. Bailey II, 455th Expeditionary Medical Group commander, at the Craig Joint Theater Hospital on Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, March 27, 2013. Bailey accepted the medal on behalf of all of the men and women of Craig Joint Theater Hospital for their support to wounded Polish servicemembers. The Polish Army Medal was established in 1999 to recognize foreign nationals, military or civilian, for their service to the Polish Armed Forces. Bailey said "this has been one of the most memorable events of my year here. It has been an honor to serve with our Coalition partners." (U.S. Air Force photo courtesy of Maj. Tara Pierce)
