A Day on the Job with: 340th AMU

SOUTHWEST ASIA – Airman First Class Michael Jenkins, 340th Aircraft Maintenance Unit electrician, repairs a defective wire on a on a tail cone navigation light of KC-135 Feb. 13. While in theatre, electricians do more than wire repair, environmental component installation or removal, and oxygen system troubleshooting. They also perform production team duties such as launching aircraft. Jenkins is deployed from the 6th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
