A Day on the Job with: Radiology
SOUTHWEST ASIA – Staff Sgt. Charlie Gess, 379th Expeditionary Medical Group diagnostic imaging technologist, performs a computed tomography scan. A CT is a specialized exam, which allows for more complex views of the body area being examined. This procedure requires upwards of six additional months of training to perform. Most technicians will have undergone upwards of two years of training before they are deployed. Gess is deployed from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
