Extreme burpees
SOUTHWEST ASIA – Lt. Col. Joseph Terrones, 609th Air Communications Squadron Detachment 1 commander, leads his Airmen during the extreme burpee challenge Dec. 1. Terrones finished in third place with a time of 1 hour, 44 minutes and 49 seconds. Only four Airmen completed the entire mile during the challenge, but everyone was able to at least complete one lap around the track. It was estimated it would take approximately 220 burpees to complete one lap around the track – if the Airman had a decent leap forward. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Joel Mease)
