Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)

A U.S. Air Force Airman with the 651st Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron helps Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility personnel carry injured patients luggage during an aeromedical evacuation flight at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Oct. 21, 2012. The aeromedical flights are used to transport injured or recovered patients with the NATO Role 3 hospital and the CASF based at Kandahar Airfield. The 651st CASF staff at Kandahar is 28 members strong and performs tasks ranging from helping medevac patients off of the helicopters they come in on to providing warm beds for their outgoing temporary residents.
