Joseph Guastella, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, wait for a U.S. Air Force HH-60 Pave Hawk to land to simulate a rescue operation during a training mission at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 18, 2012. During the nearly two hour training mission, Guastella participated with pararescue jumpers and CROs of the 83 ERQS, also known as the “Pedros,” to see firsthand how they contribute to the war on terrorism here in Afghanistan.
