Warrior of the Week/Tech. Sgt. Vincent Garcia

Tech. Sgt. Vincent Garcia, 455 AEW Flight Safety noncommissioned officer in charge, simulates bird depredation on Bagram Airfield to mitigate bird strike hazards with aircraft. Garcia was presented the Warrior of the Week award for his outstanding performance as maintenance investigating member in charge of mishap reports for higher headquarters. Garcia developed and implemented the wing's flight safety program, to include operational risk management, trend analysis and spot inspections. His expert knowledge of safety regulations and local requirements are reflected in reduced mishap rates across the entire airfield and on various combat airframes. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
