Chuck Yeager visits Bagram
Retired Brig. Gen. Charles “Chuck” Yeager shares stories of aviation history to an audience at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, April 18, 2012. When asked about Airmen today, Yeager commented that troops today are the world’s best. He said they are well trained and good at their jobs. Yeager is the first and youngest military pilot to be inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame. He is best known as the first pilot ever to fly faster than the speed of sound.
