Calibrating Success

Staff Sgt. Emil Gomez, a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory technician and native of Kapolei, Hawaii, uses a frequency calibrator at the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron PMEL shop here March 13. The frequency calibrator tests different panels and electrical equipment to ensure they can properly detect certain radio waves. PMEL is responsible for the proper calibration of more than 16,000 items ranging from screws to radar systems. Gomez is currently deployed from Yakota Air Base, Japan.
