Calibrating Success
Airman 1st Class David Maranto, a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory technician and Princeton, W.V. native, uses a vacuum tube calibrator at the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron PMEL shop here March 13. A vacuum tube calibrator to tests steel tubes for leaks and ensure they seal properly. PMEL is responsible for the proper calibration of more than 16,000 items ranging from screws to radar systems.
