Pearl Harbor 70th Anniversary
Members of the 405th Air Expeditionary Group honor guard fold the flag during a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony Dec. 7, 2011, at an air base in Southwest Asia. The Airman's Council, a private organization for junior enlisted members, hosted the event to honor the 70th Anniversary of the surprise aerial attack Dec. 7, 1941, on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, by the Japanese. The event precipitated U.S. entry into World War II. Airman 1st Class Nicole Karbowski, the club president, and Senior Airman Savier Rodriguez, the club vice president, organized the event at the deployed unit. (U.S. Air Force photo/Lt. Col.
