Staff Sgt. Valerie Kalkwarf, an emergency management journeyman from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, identifies cordon areas on a map of Dubai in the main Department of Defense operations center for the 2011 Dubai Airshow Nov. 12, 2011. Kalkwarf is part of a team of emergency managers deployed to the event to ensure plans are in place for any emergency during the show. The U.S. military is participating in the 2011 Dubai Airshow to enhance interoperability and demonstrate a shared commitment to regional security and stability.
