Drawing a smile

Senior Airman Joshua Mehdinia, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, has a cartoon character of himself drawn by Bruce Higdon, Army cartoonist, during a USO-sponsored tour by National Cartoonists Society members Oct. 23, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The cartoonists visited several areas on base and drew pictures of servicemembers to help boost morale. Mehdinia, a native of Aurora, Colo., is deployed from Aviano Air Base, Italy.
