Airman fuels the fight

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- Airman 1st Class Kailyne Jones, 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, fuels distribution operator, fuels a MC-12 Liberty aircraft here July 2. Airman Jones arrived here in February and rapidly established himself as a top performer, helping to safely issue 48 million gallons of fuel to more than 15,000 coalition aircraft. The hard-charging Airman has set numerous fuels records during his time here. To date, he has personally pumped more than 3 million gallons of fuel on more than 2,000 fuel runs, with an average response time of 10 minutes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Krista Rose.)
