pararescue Airmen save lives
BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- A pararescue Airman from the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron scrambles inside a HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter after receiving an alert call here June 11. The helicopter was in the air on a life-saving casualty evacuation mission within 10 minutes of receiving the call. The quick response actions of the 83rd EPRS Airmen saved the lives of two wounded Afghan National Police in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan. The 83rd ERQS pararescue Airmen are deployed from the 31st Rescue Squadron at Kadena Air Base; the aircrews are deployed from the 33rd Rescue Squadron, also at Kadena Air Base.
