908 EARS fleet increases as temperatures rise in Southwest Asia
Airman 1st Class Matthew Haynes, 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief for the KC-10 Extender, seals an air cart hose to the side of the aircraft in Southwest Asia. One hour prior to the air crew's arrival, the air carts help prevent the tanker's internal electrical components from overheating during extreme temperatures in the Area of Responsibility. Airman Haynes is deployed from 605th AMXS, McGuire AFB, N.J. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Julie Briden-Garcia)
