Panjshir PRT Hikes 24 Kilometers to Deliver Humanitarian Aid
PANJSHIR PROVINCE, Afghanistan ? U.S. Air Force Capt. Michael Calnicean, Panjshir Provincial Reconstruction Team chief medical officer from Detroit, Mich., tours Astana Village?s medical clinic, Oct. 6. This single-room clinic is the only medical facility within a 12-kilometer radius of the village and serves a total of eight villages. Members of the Panjshir PRT hiked more than 12 kilometers in order to deliver humanitarian aid and meet with the village elders.
