Lending a Hand One Patient at a Time
During a stop at the Khenj Afghan National Police station a local man approached member of Provincial Reconstruction Team Panjshir for medical assistance. U.S. Air Force Captain Michael Calnicean, Forward Operating Base Lion chief medical officer from Detroit Mi., examined the gentleman and identified several infected cuts caused by a skin infection of his left hand. Capt Calnicean flushed the infected areas with saline and applied a clean dressing over the infected areas. (U.S. Air Force photo by: Tech. Sgt. Sean Mateo White, PRT Panjshir photographer)
