Panjshir Radio Station Goes Wireless
Zach Morton, Deputy Radio Technical Advisor from Internews, and Peoria Ill. native, upgrades Radio Khurasan in Panjshir, Afghanistan from a wired connection to wireless by installing a new antenna. Internews is an international media development organization whose mission is to empower local media worldwide to give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect, and the means to make their voices heard. This antenna provides the station with increased wireless bandwidth and allows the radio station to stream their broadcast real time over the internet. (Photo by U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Sean M.
