Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jamie Dodd, of Greenville, S.C., prepares his mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle for a mission at Forward Operating Base Sharana, Afghanistan. Dodd is one of approximately 40 members of the South Carolina Army National Guard who is currently deployed as the security force element for the Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team. The National Guard members, deployed from the B/1-178th Field Artillery Regiment, South Carolina Army National Guard, are field artillery specialists that have been retrained as security force experts.
