Fueling the fight: Airmen making a difference one gallon at a time in Southwest Asia

On any given day, Airman Gallant and other fuels Airmen in his flight can off-load up to 600,000 gallons of fuel from host nation supplier fuel trucks where it is pumped through a pipeline to the air field. In 2009, the 380th ELRS fuels management flight pumped more than 188 million gallons of fuel in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
