SOUTHWEST ASIA-- Airman 1st Class Jeremi Welborn places garbage into a trashbag Staff Sgt. Joshuah Jacobs is holding at a Southwest Asia air base Jan. 20. Both Airman participated in the Desert 5's first Coalition Compound Cleanup, an event in which volunteers helped improve the appearance of the area around transient tents for incoming occupants. The Desert 5 works with the Top 4, the First Sergeants, and Wing leadership to provide Airmen a forum to discuss issues that affect the morale of base members. In addition, the Desert 5 is actively involved in promoting esprit de corps through programs like the monthly Wing Promotion Ceremony and Mentorship Award program.
