NURISTAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Staff Sgt. Shaun DeCroo, deployed from the 50th Communications Squadron, Scheiver Air Force Base, Colo., works on a ruggedized laptop to help set up critical internet communications for Soldiers. Sergeant DeCroo is a nine-year Air Force veteran and native of New Kensington, Pa., and serves as the only Airman in an Army Combat Outpost in a remote section of Afghanistan.
