Building airpower in Afghanistan
KABUL Afghanistan - A mechanic from the Afghan National Army Air Corps performs maintenance on a weapons system of a MI-35E helicopter in a hanger at the Kabul Air Base. Mechanics managed to keep these guns fully functional for fourteen years when ammunition was unavailable, even through the years when the Taliban ruled Afghanistan.
