Night Ops
A B-1B Lancer aircrew from the 37th Expeditionary Bomber Squadron takes off during a moonlit night on a sortie, Sept. 3, in Southwest Asia. Carrying the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the Air Force inventory, the multi-mission B-1 is the backbone of America's long-range bomber force. It can rapidly deliver massive quantities of precision and non-precision weapons against any adversary, anywhere in the world, at any time. The aircrew is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Robert Barney)
