Firefighters ready for anything

Firefighters from the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Fire and Emergency Services Flight practice entering a C-17 Globemaster with the necessary tools and equipment to rescue crewmembers and extinguish an interior fire during an exercise Monday. The hands-on training ensures firefighters are ready to deal with any type of emergency. Firefighters must be proficient in properly shutting-down aircraft engines, activating and discharging the on-board fire suppression system, turning off the “master” power switch, and properly opening all emergency exits, doors and windows.
