Climbing to new heights

Senior Airman Richard Coyle, and Senior Airman Jawarski Jeffries, both cable and antenna maintenance technicians with the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, perform preventive maintenance for antennas on a 175ft communications tower, June 23, 2009 in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The tower holds multiple antennas and provides support for a variety of amenities and services on base from Armed Forces Network channels to cellular phone reception. While maintenance is being performed on the tower all power to the antennas is shut down to ensure the safety of the personnel working on it. Airman Coyle is native to Converse, Texas and is deployed from Langley Air Force Base, Va. while Airman Jeffries hails from Dublin, Ga. and is deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, both in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.(U.S. Air Force Photo by Staff Sgt.
