Climbing to new heights
Airman 1st Class Jeremy Lowe, a cable and antenna maintenance technician with the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, climbs up a 175ft communications tower in order to perform preventative maintenance on the antennas, June 23, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. A safety harness is used to ensure Airman Lowe has three points of contacts with the tower at all times. The tower holds multiple antennas and provides support for a variety of amenities and services on base from Armed Forces Network channels to cellular phone reception. Airman Lowe is native to San Bernardino, Calif. and is deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
