Calibrating Capability for Mission Success in AOR
Staff Sgt. Mason Lucas, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron test measurement diagnostic equipment craftsman, uses a pressure gauge to check a tire inflator's relief valve, June 15, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The tire inflator will be used in a forward operating location in the U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility. The Airmen who work in the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) calibrate and test equipment critical to mission accomplishment. Sergeant Lucas hails from Purcellville, Va. and is deployed from Langley Air Force Base, Va., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
